Our Story

Built on decades of
hands-on craftsmanship

Phase 1 Pool Construction was founded in 2006 by an owner with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the pool and backyard construction industry. After decades of learning every phase of how a great outdoor space comes together, the decision to start Phase 1 was simple: build a company that homeowners could genuinely trust. That meant no shortcuts, no vague timelines, and no disappearing acts once the contract was signed.

The name Phase 1 reflects a straightforward belief: every great backyard starts with getting the first phase right. From the initial design conversation to the final walkthrough, every step is treated with the same level of care. Projects are personally supervised by the owner, so nothing falls through the cracks and nothing gets handed off without accountability.

Where We Work

Swimming pool contractor Services Across
Inland Empire and North County San Diego

Based in Murrieta — serving every corner of Inland Empire and North County San Diego.

Primary Service Area

Murrieta, CA

Murrieta sits in an inland valley at roughly 1,100 feet, with sandy loam over a clay subhorizon on the valley floor and shallow decomposed granite on the western hillsides toward La Cresta. That clay swells with winter rain and shrinks through the dry summer, which means pool shells and surrounding hardscape must be engineered to move with the soil rather than fight it. Summer highs run 95 to 100-plus degrees from July through September, making a private pool the most-used feature in any Murrieta backyard. Planned subdivisions like Greer Ranch, California Oaks, Bear Creek, Copper Canyon, and Spencer's Crossing make up most of the housing stock, with homes built from the late 1980s through today on lots that typically offer generous rear-yard space for a full outdoor build.
